My name is Tony Lovette Tate.Thank you for checking out my JesusJams. I hope to help you understand a little bit about how I got here.

I was created to be a musician. How do I know this, because from as far back as I can remember, I have loved music. I don’t mean I liked listening to it. I mean I have alway been about trying to make music. So, that’s what I am.

I used to think that this was who I as well. Music is not who I am. Who I am can only be found in Jesus Christ. Best I can gather is that through Jesus I am one of the sons of God. I know crazy, right? But it’s the only place I can find peace about myself. The place? The center of His love.

I find this stuff in the bible. The more I think about what the bible says about who I am in Christ the more at peace I become. Growing up I believed that I needed to live some kind of close to perfectly moral life in order  for God to love me, and for a chance to go to heaven. Turns out I don’t have to do any of that stuff.

The life that Jesus lived, and gave up on the cross, and then resurrected is enough. And it is that life that God has given to me without me having to do anything to earn it. He loves me (and you) so much that he sent Jesus in order we might have life, His life. And it’s not just the life of Jesus but the Father and the Spirit as well. The bible says we are raised up with Christ to sit at the right hand of our Father.

That’s who I am. I belong to God. You belong to God. All because of Jesus. Now when I make music it is usually centered around Jesus, hence what I call JesusJams.
