Moving / Going To School

by Tony on June 13, 2011

I have just about got all my stuff packed up to move. What a pain!, literally. My back has been giving quite a bit of push back. If you don’t know, I had back surgery last January (2010). The doctor says it was a success but it’s not feeling like a success. There is no way I’m having another surgery so, I am believing God’s word for healing and restoration.

Anyway, all I have left to pack up is a few things in the living room and kitchen and I will be done. Well, there are still a few things on the back porch but, other than that, I’m done.

Later this week I will be playing in a duo with my friend Craig, who is a guitar player, at a Wells & Fargo bank opening. We are just doing a few songs instrumentally.

On Friday the July 1st, I will pack up the truck (rental), and  head to South Carolina. I hope to go to school, or something. I am tired of doing nothing. I think I will study Audio & Record engineering. There is a school called the Recording Connection Audio Institute in Charleston that seems right up my alley.

I have been out of the navy now for 4 years. I have been to truck driving school, and had 3 different jobs. Had back surgery last year, which hasn’t quite healed up yet. Honestly, nothing interest me like creating music. So that’s where I’m headed I think. Recording and producing music has always been my main interest with music. In my younger days I wanted to be a star. Now I’d just like to be able create music, help other people create music, and make a living at it.
