Rebecca Hawkins Project “Rockin” Gospel Blues music evokes images and emotions from Southern old time revivals with a new twist, and has the true Rockin’-Blues aficionados celebrating. The sound is a cross between the Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin, while Rebecca’s energetic stage presence get the audience movin’ and singin’ to the music.
I recently came across Rebecca Hawkins’ profile on Reverbnation.com. She has an unmistakable bluesy style. I like her brand of Christian music which to me is a mix of acoustic, blues and, rock. She has a great voice, and a great band backing her. They have no doubt been playing together for a while.
The stand out song on this project for me is, “Hope Is Gone (New Mix).” The song is absolutely beautiful and there is an awesome electric guitar solo.
