I had started a few months ago putting together music and lyrics for my new CD project but my progress has been slowed down by my move to South Carolina. So far I have 6 songs in the works. I will have 10 total. A couple of them are complete.
One is from an older project (that was really terrible). The song is called “Jesus Is Coming.” A second song is brand new called, “I Am Crucified.” Another is also coming from the same older project is, “Love Aint Easy.” “Lord Take Me,” is another I hope to be able to complete (lyrics). All of the music for these songs are the best I have ever come up with.
One that I think will be the best on the project is, “Love Like This.” It takes the lyrics from an older song on the same previous, not so good project, and combines them with a very new groove I created a few months ago. And the last song is one I call, “Dreaming Again.” The lyrics will be new and the music is also new.
That leaves me 4 songs to create. Actually, I get them from the Lord and try not to mess them up. I hope to be able to finish by the end of the year. I am still working on art work for this project. Yes, I know I should have someone else do it but, I like working with graphics as much as music. I have already come up with some possibilities like the on in this post. The yellow numbers are a count down to the return of the Lord. The black cross represents the death that the Lord died to give me life.
“I Am Crucified” will be the title track. Most of the songs represent what I have been learning about the grace of God in the past year or so. I don’t know how good I will be at putting those revelations to music.
At the moment I can’t move forward with recording because I’m in between houses. I’m in a temporary place until the house where I’m moving into is finished with repairs. I probably wont be able to get to it until the middle of August. I can however do some music creation, if I get the time. I also have been doing work at the house trying to speed things along by helping.
Anyway, that’s the update.
