Worship

Worship is such a powerful way of spending time with the Lord. It is especially true when the issues of life have got you feeling like you can’t win. This is the time to worship the Lord. When you can’t do anything to change your situation praise the Lord and praise hard. Whether we realize it or not there is nothing we can do to improve anything about our circumstances anyway without God. He is our creator and knows exactly what we need and when to give it to us.

When we worship Him it bring God and us close to one another. Psalm 22:3 says, But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. When you feel defeated by your life and circumstances and can’t seem to do anything about it Sing! Start singing your favorite praise and worship songs until they fill your heart. If you don’t know any go to iTunes or a music store and check out Lashaun Cheney or Johnny B. Williams, or Femi Adeduji. There are many more worshipers to choose from.

As you worship the Lord you start to sense His presence with you and suddenly everything will be alright. I have faced some really dark moments in my life. The only way I could control my mind and the thoughts that seemed to terrorize me was to read from the book of psalms out loud. When I wasn’t doing that I put on a cd and just sang. Every time I did I would know His presence. I would be lifted up and I always felt a lot better than I did before I started. God is a good God and He cares about you and me. Learn to worship Him when you are in trouble, in pain, and in dire need.

During the times of trouble in my life often God would give me instructions as I worshipped and praised Him. Sometimes on a daily basis. There were times He literally saved my life. He is so Good. When you need to be in His arms, worship Him. When there is no one who seems to understand you and your problem, worship Him. He will never leave you hanging.

Psalm 100

1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

2 Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.

3 Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.

5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

This is one of the psalms of David. David knew how to worship. Once when the Israelites were bringing the ark of God to the city of David the bible says..

David, wearing a linen ephod, danced before the LORD with all his might, 15 while he and the entire house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouts and the sound of trumpets.

Now when you get to a point to where you are dancing before the Lord with all your might, man o man!
